Delta Spotlight - Tesh Patel, General Manager

Tesh Patel knew he was embarking upon an exciting journey when he joined Delta Insurance earlier this year as General Manager of its new Australian operations.

“I already knew of the company and how successful it had been in Asia Pacific,” he says.

“I also knew and appreciated the calibre of people within this organisation, and that was something I wanted to be a part of.”

It has been a whirlwind few months since Tesh joined the business in early 2022; helping to launch Delta Insurance Australia and establish the company from ground zero.

“It is hard work of course, but this is as rewarding as anything I’ve done in my career,” he says.

Tesh says the response from the Australian market to date has been tremendous.

“Steve (Stephen Carey) is one of the most respected professionals in this industry without doubt, and with the strength and reputation of the wider team we have found that people have been interested and approached us.

“Our challenge now is to ensure we continue to live up to expectations as we grow.”

Growth continues to be a key priority for Delta Insurance Australia.

“Of course I want us to be a significant player in this market,” Tesh says. “But my objective is to grow the business in such a way that our customer service and relationships remain second to none.

“We also want to build upon the Delta brand by creating one of the best workplaces in Australia; an environment where our people are given all the support and opportunities they need to thrive and grow their careers.

“Our culture, being a partner and employer of choice is just as important to me as the products we offer.”
